Meet LaTasha Crawford. Chief People Officer
History
LaTasha graduated in 2013 with her Bachelors in Small Business Entrepreneurship, and retired from the Army Reserves in 2015. When LaTasha Crawford traded in her combat boots as a retired Army Service Member and career in Corporate America, to pursue entrepreneurship, she initially launched her own Financial Consulting Company. In this capacity, LaTasha has helped several clients manage their budgets, create financial reports, integrate technology into their business models, and obtain small business loans.
As a serial entrepreneur for over 10 years, she started Miscellaneous Janitorial Services with her husband LaQuanta Crawford, who retired as the regional sanitation manager for a large vehicle manufacturing company in 2017. Together they built a janitorial business that is sustainable and growing to the next level.
In 2019, Miscellaneous Staffing Services, a new division, was launched as a Certified State of Missouri and City of Kansas City M/WBE, DBE, SLBE entity.
2020 Forward | The (Re) Pivot: Re-Envision & Recapitalize.
Servicing the Hybrid-focused workforce takes a different approach and perspective to workforce employment, and LaTasha’s company has been successful in this niche. Like the vast majority of employers, the onset of 2020 caused the workforce as a whole to shift. With this shift came the need to re-envision the business/business model with a hybrid/virtual component alongside their traditional manner of doing business, hence People Responsibly was born.
Performing their Discovery Process, alongside a competitive analysis as the foundation to the new business model, People Responsibly provides objective data metrics to lead the way forward for the client.
Participation in and completion of the Black Mastermind Organization has been essential in growing the Human Capital Management services division of Miscellaneous Staffing Services into a fully functional corporate office with personnel, PMO office, a business development team and a projected 7figure company by 2024 (grew from 1 client to 6 corporate clients, 1 government contract, and several private sector contracts) as well as now employing over 35 full and part time staff (growing from having 6-10 employees).
As such, LaTasha has a keen focus and mission to bring Veteran and Veteran Related Talent Services to her People Responsibly Suite of Services by Q3 2023- continuing her mission of making a positive impact on the BIPOC & Veteran community.
She currently serves her community as the financial funding director of the National Black Mastermind Group and looks forward to expanding her community participation by providing Generational, DEI, & Cultural Sensitivity training in addition to Human Capital, Business to Business, and Business to Government consultation services.
